and empowers our team to reach their full potential. We’re proud of what we’ve
achieved to date, and we’re excited to do more. To make sure we stay true to
our unique culture, we codified it.

We believe that our unique culture has been and will continue to be instrumental to our success, and we also know that as we scale, maintaining is ever more challenging. That's why we codified our culture into this deck for both current and prospective team members to see.

Why make a culture deck?

At BenchSci, we uphold transparency as one of our core values, and so we want to ensure that this document is reflective of our culture as we grow. We recognize that our culture is a constant work in progress, which is why we refresh this deck each year with three main goals:

02 Help potential team members understand how we work and decide whether they want to join BenchSci
03 Help BenchSci stay loyal to its culture and to continue to evolve and improve it

Focus We focus on what will drive the greatest impact for scientists and patients at all times.

Advancement We're dedicated to continuous growth and discovering new ways to do things better. This applies to our platform and business, but also ourselves.
Speed The time to change healthcare is now. Without a sense of urgency, our team, our platform, and our mission lose value.
Tenacity We solve hard problems at the intersection of biomedical science and information technology. Grit is needed. Success without it is unlikely.
Transparency Science never shies away from the truth. Nor do we. We share diverse ideas and information and encourage vulnerability.

Remote-first with hubs around the world

We have the tools, tech, and attitude to succeed from anywhere. Our remote-first approach to work empowers our team members to work where they feel most productive and live where they're happiest.
But we're not remote only!
We have offices in Toronto, ON and Cambridge, UK for our team to use as much or as little as they like. Plus we make an effort to have teams meet in-person several times a year in major hubs where BenchSciers live.

Reminder: Some team members may be required to be onsite or travel regularly for their job. Make sure you check the job description and we'll always be clear what the expectations are.
